Mario Hernández was outstanding against Bethlehem. The left-hander, who is rated as the 40th best prospect by BNN, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Puffer Fish 4-3 win. The victory makes Plattsburgh 8-6.
Jesús Vega aided the Plattsburgh cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"Credit where credit is due," said Vega, "this was a team win."
