Shockers Deal Uruguayans 4-2 Loss
The Surprise Shockers beat the Germantown Uruguayans, 4-2, at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The Shockers got a fine performance from shortstop Pedro Mejía, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. Surprise reliever Artie Parker picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Han-soo Yang was saddled with the loss. Adrian Taylor locked down his 5th save.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Gareth Holz? The Surprise first baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Shockers on top, 1-0. For the game, Holz had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Germantown skipper Luis Díaz.
