Cooper Homers Twice in 10-7 Shockers Win
Led by John Cooper, the Surprise Shockers defeated the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 10-7. Cooper belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Shockers. Lou Anderson picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mo Jones was tagged with the loss. Adrian Taylor sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Cooper had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 fastball from Mo Jones, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Shockers a 8-7 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Cooper.

"We got the victory," said Cooper. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The Shockers raised their record to 2-5.
