Hurricanes Fall Short, 3-2, at Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Flamingos did just enough to sneak past the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 3-2, at The Strip. Las Vegas pitcher Sergio Tacuri, in particular, had a standout performance. Bryan Griffin earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. With this game in the books, Las Vegas is 17-16, Cape Coral 14-19.

Gilberto Escamilla contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped Las Vegas get the win.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Escamilla.
