Centennial Roll to 8-0 Win Over Flanderses
|
The Fort Knox Centennial and starting pitcher Lloyd Best stifled the Hudsonville offense en route to a comfortable 8-0 win at Ballpark of Baxter. Jesús Zargosa sewed up the save, his 4th. Fort Knox goes to 73-19. The win puts them 17½ games up in their division.
Orlando Rodríguez dealt the Flanderses a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Fort Knox leading 1-0, Rodríguez, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-1 splitter for a 2-run single.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rodríguez.
