Streaking Hounds Win Another One, 5-3
|
Hicksville second baseman Steven Dennis was a significant contributor in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Crowley Cajuns. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Hicksville. Norberto Silva, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. The save was credited to Gabe Turner, his 2nd.
Dennis had a timely hit for Hicksville in the bottom of the seventh. With Crowley trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-0 splitter into a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Hicksville.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Hicksville manager Phil Carroll.
The wins continue to add up for Hicksville, with the latest making it 9 in a row.
