With right fielder Dave Díaz leading the charge, the Hicksville Hounds defeated the Hudsonville Flanderses, 8-6, at Hound Pound. Díaz went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times. Reliever John Terry picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Odwin Von Heezik took the loss. The Hounds now have a record of 42-35.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Hicksville trailing 6-5, Efraim Leeuwenburgh hit a curveball from Odwin Von Heezik for a 3-run home run, giving the Hounds the walk-off win.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Díaz told the Hicksville Herald.
