Streaking Baby Blues Win Another One, 4-2
|
The Quebec City Baby Blues took Hicksville pitcher Rafael Villanueva's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Hound Pound. The final score had Quebec City getting past the Hounds, 4-2. Villanueva went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 9. Manuel Delgado picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-4. He struck out 5 in 5.2 innings. The save went to Ben Bramwell, his 2nd this season.
The Baby Blues got a big at-bat from shortstop Arnold Crews, who in the top of the third hit a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Baby Blues on top, 2-0.
After the game, Quebec City manager Troy Grant applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The wins continue to add up for Quebec City, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
