The Bompton Baby Lakers picked up a win at Field of the Browns, knocking off the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 7-2. On the mound for Bompton was right-hander Fernando Rivera, who played a pivotal role in the win. Rivera got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Rivera allowed 2 runs. With the loss, Plattsburgh drops to 1-1.

Mark Hall had an important at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth, when he hit a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season put Bompton on top, 2-1.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Hall told the Bompton Daily News.
