The Fort Knox Centennial beat the Hicksville Hounds, 6-2, at Ballpark of Baxter. The win was due in part to shortstop Brian Palmer, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Orlando Díaz collected save number 2. The Centennial, at 50-12, have a comfortable 14½-game lead in their division.
José Rojas swatted a 2-run home run for Fort Knox in the bottom of the first. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"I'm proud to wear a Fort Knox jersey," Palmer told the Fort Knox Daily News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
