The Hicksville Hounds picked up a win at Hound Pound, knocking off the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ronald Gardner was a big reason why. Dean Bradley converted his 5th save in 7 tries. The win puts Hicksville at 28-27 this season.

Hicksville took a 4-3 lead on Emory Frost's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Frost hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Beaumont pitcher Toshiki Hara shaking his head.

"We'll savor this win," Gardner told the Hicksville Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
