Crossbeaus Edge Past Flanderses, 4-3

Beaumont picked up a win at The Target, bumping off the Hudsonville Flanderses, 4-3. Pitcher Conor Mabty was a major reason the Crossbeaus emerged victorious. Beaumont reliever Francisco Rodríguez picked up the win to move to 1-2. Ray Stevenson suffered the loss. Tan-ming Lou got the save, the 12th for him this season.
The Crossbeaus benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the eighth. With Alonso Rivera at bat and Beaumont trailing 3-2, the Hudsonville miscue allowed Beaumont to plate 2 and take the lead, 4-3.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Mabty told the Beaumont Daily. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
The Crossbeaus go to 21-31 with the win.
