Saucedo Helps Cajuns Run Win Streak to 7
|
Juan Saucedo made an impact in the 5-2 Crowley win over Shady Side. Saucedo, who is tied for 2nd in the PA- in home runs with 16, went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Manuel Juárez, the winner, improved to 3-3. He held Shady Side to 2 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The Cajuns improve their record to 26-19 with the win over Shady Side.
In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Saucedo hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Saucedo told the Crowley Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
