Crossbeaus Get Past Hudsonville for 7-6 Win
Hudsonville got a terrific game from second baseman José Montés. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Beaumont, 7-6. Montés went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Beaumont reliever Lien-ying Cheung picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Paul Montgomery took the loss. The Crossbeaus sport a record of 13-22.

The most important at-bat for Beaumont came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Juan Suarze reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 1 run, putting Beaumont up, 6-5.

Crossbeaus manager Stephen Richards wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
