Álvarez Hits Two Dingers, Cajuns Win, 9-5
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Ricardo Álvarez, the Crowley Cajuns defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 9-5. Álvarez went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Cajuns. At 13-12, the Cajuns claim 5th place in the Premier Low A.

Álvarez contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Crowley in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-3, Álvarez took a fastball from Dean Bradley and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Cajuns to leap in front, 7-5.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Álvarez told the Crowley Today. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
