In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Hicksville Hounds and starting pitcher César Romero stifled the Ballard offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at The Beaver Dam. Romero went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-1. Colt Brown earned the save for Hicksville, his 1st of the year.

Hicksville used the bat of Richard Oliver to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hounds ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Gerald Clark.

Hicksville occupies 7th place in the Premier Low A at 10-11.
