Smokies Stadium was the site for USPL Single A action featuring the Lake Erie Arryns and Smoky Mountain Hobeaus.
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, taking down the Lake Erie Arryns, 3-1. Starting pitcher Héctor Peña was a big reason why. Smoky Mountain, at 42-45, sits in 6th place in the Premier A.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Ken Trowsdale put Smoky Mountain in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Hobeaus went on to win the ballgame.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Lake Erie manager Sammy Bannatyne. "Obviously."
