Hawks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Airmen
The Alameda Airmen got a superb performance from pitcher Robbie Edmond. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Laredo. The Hawks won the game, 5-3. Edmond threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The slumping Airmen have lost 7 straight.

This game was not decided until Ernesto González came to bat in the top of the 12th. With the bases loaded and one out, the Laredo catcher hit a sacrifice fly. The Hawks took the lead, 4-3.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said González.
