Crossbeaus Pick Up 4-2 Win
|
Beaumont Crossbeaus starter Conor Mabty turned in a top-notch performance against the Fort Knox Centennial at The Target. The result was a win for the Crossbeaus, 4-2. Losses have been rare for the Centennial, who are now 12-5.
The Crossbeaus got a big at-bat from third baseman Alonso Rivera. For the game, Rivera went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Beaumont a 3-0 lead.
"A great game, a great day," said Rivera about the win. "I can't complain."
