Panama City Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Tomás Ramírez was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Las Vegas and Panama City. The Flamingos right-hander helped his team beat the Piranhas, 3-0. Ramírez, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. With the win, the Flamingos improved to 11-12.
The Flamingos got a lift from third baseman Jake White, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Flamingos on top, 1-0.
Afterward, Flamingos manager Tom Williams was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
