Hounds Shut Out Zoomies, 3-0
|
The Hicksville Hounds got a magnificent performance from pitcher César Romero, who stifled the Shady Side offense en route to a 3-0 Hounds win at Hound Pound. The Zoomies, now 2-14, continue their sluggish start.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Darryl Smith didn't flinch. With a runner on 1st and Shady Side trailing 1-0, Smith retired Dylan Bettinson to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Smith, with a wink.
