Baby Blues Win at Shady Side, 5-1
|
Pitcher Damon Colcott was sensational for the Quebec City Baby Blues in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Shady Side Zoomies. Colcott picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Shady Side, now 2-11, has gotten off to a terrible start.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ashton Gutiérrez? The Quebec City third baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Baby Blues on top, 5-0. For the game, Gutiérrez had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Damon was pounding the zone," said Quebec City manager Troy Grant.
