Montana Rallies Past Cape Coral, 3-2
|
The Montana Pandas topped the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 3-2, in United States Silver League action at Factory of Sadness. The game was highlighted by the performance of Montana center fielder Ron Pollard. Montana reliever Horace Cope picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Chris Logan took the loss. Jeffery Meyers finished the game for Montana and earned his 10th save.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Pollard. In the top of the ninth inning, when the Pandas were trailing 2-1, Pollard delivered a two-out 2-run single for Montana, giving his team the lead.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Montana manager Andrew Schupick.
Montana now has a record of 14-8 with the win.
