Palmer Belts Bunch of Base Hits
|
It was high-fives all around for Brian Palmer at Hound Pound today.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Hicksville Hounds. Palmer smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 11-4 win.
"Brian was hitting everything," said Centennial manager Justin Saginov. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Hounds manager Phil Carroll told BNN beat writers that Palmer "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Palmer oversleeps next time."
Brian Palmer doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.
So far this season Palmer has 2 home runs and a .368 batting average.
