Villanueva Plays Big Role in Hicksville Win
|
The Hicksville Hounds defeated the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 6-0, in USPL Low A action at The Target. Hicksville pitcher Rafael Villanueva had a standout performance. The victory makes Hicksville 4-5.
The Hounds liked what they saw from Villanueva. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Crossbeaus to no runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings, and striking out 10.
"Rafael had electric stuff," said Hicksville manager Phil Carroll.
