Gallos Best Arryns in Pitching Duel
|
The Lake Erie Arryns got a superb performance from pitcher Cole S. Law, but the Delmarva Gallos still won the game, 2-1. Law threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Michael Sawyer, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on 3 hits. With the win, Delmarva has a record of 40-30. Lake Erie falls to 37-33.
Delmarva shortstop Barry Hes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Gallos ahead, 2-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hes said after the game.
