The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus earned a win at Smokies Stadium, stopping the Laredo Hawks, 1-0. Starting pitcher Héctor Peña played a big role in his team's success. Yok-sing Zhou earned the save for Smoky Mountain, his 15th of the year. The 4th-place Hobeaus are 27-27.

Peña earned the win to move to 2-4. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 5 and walking 3. The right-hander allowed the Hawks few scoring opportunities.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Peña said.
