The Delmarva Gallos topped the Athletic Club KC U-24 by the score of 8-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Hunter Griffin. Griffin was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Gallos. Delmarva reliever Michael Sawyer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Ricardo Sandoval was saddled with the loss. The win makes Delmarva 27-27.
Delmarva center fielder Wayne Goodman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 28th hit of the season and put the Gallos ahead, 6-1.
