Despite a great performance by Laredo catcher Ernesto González, the Delmarva Gallos defeated the Hawks by the score of 11-7 at Hawks Field. González went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. The 7th-place Gallos have a record of 20-26.

Delmarva used a timely hit from Joey de Vaal to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gallos ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," de Vaal told the Delmarva News.
