Smoky Mountain got a strong outing from António Miranda as the Hobeaus defeated the Alameda Airmen, 3-2, at Smokies Stadium. The Hobeaus go to 17-20, putting them 6th in the Premier A.

Eddie Clark was the walk-off hero for Smoky Mountain. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hobeaus designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Miranda.
