Seahawks Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Alameda Airmen got a superb performance from pitcher Bobby Dudley. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Myrtle Beach. The Seahawks won the game, 1-0. Dudley threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. At 10-15, the Seahawks claim last place in the Premier A.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Myrtle Beach shortstop Nelson Ríos, facing Ben Moore, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Seahawks the 1-0 win.
"It was a test of wills," said Tom Oglander, the Myrtle Beach skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
