The outcome was not decided until the very end at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium.

Despite a fine performance by center fielder Brian Kwasnika, the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus lost to the Monroeville Yinzers, 4-3. Kwasnika went 3-4 with 2 triples. He scored 2 runs. For the Hobeaus, the loss makes them 7-11.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 3-3, second baseman Reynaldo Díaz won it for Monroeville. With a runner on 2nd, Díaz hit a 1-0 fastball from Rusty Collins for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.

"We did enough to win," said Díaz.
