4-2 Manatees Win over Hermit Crabs Evens Season Record
|
The Huntington Hermit Crabs got a superb performance from pitcher Sebastian Brown, but the Matlacha Manatees still won the game, 4-2. Brown threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Arturo Pérez snagged the win in relief. In 3.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 3-0 on the season. John Armstrong collected save number 2.
Matlacha used the bat of Michael Crowder to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Manatees ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We did a lot of things right," said Crowder.
The 6th-place Manatees have a record of 40-40.
