Yinzers Walk It Off for 5th Win of Season
|
The Monroeville Yinzers went home winners at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Hyeong-ro Yi. Yi stifled the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, enabling Monroeville to grab the 2-1 win. Manuel Peña came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. With the loss, Myrtle Beach sinks to 6-5.
Christian McIntosh was the walk-off hero for Monroeville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yinzers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Monroeville manager Jorge Reyes.
