The inspired effort of Matlacha designated hitter Ludwig Hofler was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Levittown Blue Dragons. Hofler was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Reliever José Márquez picked up the win. His record improves to 2-3. John Armstrong took the loss. Getting the save was Gary McIldowie, his 1st.

Levittown used a clutch hit from Hsien-feng Wa to get the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blue Dragons ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Levittown manager Frank Jackson.

With the win, Levittown goes to 44-25, while the Manatees fall to 33-36.
