Yucca Valley laid the wood on Eugene at The Riot Zone.

The Yucca Valley Yellows clobbered the Eugene Vandals, 16-3, at The Riot Zone. Yucca Valley second baseman Jon Anderson led the onslaught. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The slumping Vandals have lost 7 straight.

Mike O'Kennelly hit a 2-run double off Octávio Olivaies in the top of the first, which put the Yellows in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, O'Kennelly had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 5.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Eugene manager José Cervantes.
