Burney, River Rats Get 4-1 Win
|
The Columbia River Rats got a strong performance from pitcher Dale Burney, who stymied the Kennesaw offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Jets Stadium. With the win, Columbia raised its record to 42-22.
The River Rats liked what they saw from Burney. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Jets to no runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings, and striking out 11.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Columbia manager Kevin McCoy.
