Seahawks Pull Off Thrilling 1-0 Win in Extras
|
South Beach pitcher Aaron Houghton gave the Seahawks all they could handle, but in the end, Myrtle Beach left Seahwaks Stadium with a win, 1-0. Houghton allowed no runs on 1 hit over 5 innings. Reliever José Benítez picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Corona took the loss. The loss drops the Blaze to 1-2.
The Seahawks relied on third baseman Tom White for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"Our team showed some gumption," said White. "I like it."
