River Rats Fall Short, 2-1, at Huntington
|
The Huntington Hermit Crabs called upon starter Elijah Cox, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Columbia River Rats, 2-1. Marshall Dooley finished the game for Huntington and earned his 17th save. The Hermit Crabs own a robust 40-23 mark.
Huntington took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Bob Walker hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Hermit Crabs.
"I was a little disappointed," said Columbia manager Kevin McCoy. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
