Seahawks Best Blaze in Pitching Duel
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks took South Beach pitcher Pedro Salazar's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Seahwaks Stadium. The final score had Myrtle Beach getting past the Blaze, 1-0. Salazar went 5 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 4. South Beach drops to 1-1.

The Seahawks got an important contribution from left fielder Michael Gibson, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 0-1 fastball into right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Seahawks ahead, 1-0.

"We squandered some opportunities," said South Beach manager Vicente Rodríguez.
