8-4 Loss Extends Eugene Losing Streak
With right fielder Joe Madden leading the charge, the Yucca Valley Yellows defeated the Eugene Vandals, 8-4, at The Riot Zone. Madden, who is tied for 6th in the SA in total bases with 85, was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3. Jonathan Alexander picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-2. Eugene is in the throes of a 13-game skid.

Yucca Valley used the bat of Mike O'Kennelly to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yellows ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
