5-4 Loss Deepens Eugene Funk
|
Blue Dragons first baseman Ángelo Núñez put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Eugene Vandals. Núñez was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Levittown in the contest. José Márquez picked up the save, his 12th. Eugene is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 11 in a row.
Michael Jones was 1-4 for Levittown. In the bottom of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Jones delivered for the Blue Dragons. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Levittown on top, 4-3.
