Columbia Gets 2-1 Win
|
Columbia got a first-rate effort from pitcher Timothy Dean, who frustrated Levittown hitters en route to a 2-1 River Rats triumph at The Cave at Levittown. Wes Bailey earned the save for Columbia, his 10th of the year. With the victory, the River Rats upped their record to 26-14.
Columbia relied on the hitting of Graham Wooten to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the River Rats on top, 2-1. For the game, Wooten had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Columbia manager Kevin McCoy.
