Caterpillars Squelch Vandals Offense in Shutout Win
The Grand Forks Caterpillars topped the Eugene Vandals, 4-0, in USSL Single A action at The Cocoon. The game was highlighted by the performance of Grand Forks pitcher Benton Johnston. The win gives Grand Forks a season record of 23-17.

Francisco Gómez took Octávio Olivaies deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Caterpillars on top, 2-0. In all, Gómez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Grand Forks skipper Steve Ferguson.
