10-3 Loss Extends Eugene Losing Streak
The Yucca Valley Yellows topped the Eugene Vandals, 10-3, in USSL Single A action at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. The game was highlighted by the performance of Yucca Valley pitcher John Peterson. Eugene is in the throes of a 10-game losing streak.

The Yellows got an important contribution from left fielder Juan Páez, who in the bottom of the second hit a fastball into left for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Yellows ahead, 3-0.

"Glad to get this win," said Páez. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
