Bender Leads Grand Forks to 4-0 Win
|
Left-hander Horace Bender mesmerized the Columbia River Rats while leading the Grand Forks Caterpillars to a 4-0 victory. The 4th-place Caterpillars improved to 17-12.
Bender allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings for the Caterpillars. He walked 1 and struck out 5.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Grand Forks manager Steve Ferguson. "Our pregame was pretty good."
