The Eugene Vandals and Kingston Mangos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Kingston rode a good effort from starter Joe Johnson to beat the Eugene Vandals at The Riot Zone. The final score was 6-1. Carlos González earned the save for Kingston, his 1st.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Julián Adame? The Kingston catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Mangos on top, 2-0. For the game, Adame had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Adame told the Kingston Herald. "It's as simple as that."
