Burney Lays Hammer Down in 3-1 Win
Dale Burney was outstanding against Eugene. The left-hander, who is tied for 4th in the SA in innings pitched with 35.1, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a River Rats 3-1 win. Wes Bailey picked up the save, his 6th. The Vandals have now dropped 7 straight.

The Vandals had little chance against Burney, who overpowered Eugene hitters and struck out 12.

Burney said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
