Yucca Valley pitcher Desi Keller did his part in helping his team beat the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Keller got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Keller allowed 1 run. José Vargas got credit for the save for Yucca Valley. It was his 8th of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Dai-lin Yen? The Yucca Valley first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yellows on top, 4-1. For the game, Yen had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
