In a low-scoring game between Yucca Valley and Matlacha, pitcher Sébastien Ferrari was excellent. The Yucca Valley right-hander helped his team knock off the Manatees, 3-0. The save was credited to José Vargas, his 6th. After losing, Matlacha is 7-11.

The Yellows got an important contribution from catcher Homer Green, who in the bottom of the third punched a 1-0 slider into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Yellows ahead, 2-0.
